जिन वाक्यों के अंत में प्रायः या, ई, ए (भूतकाल की घटना) आता है, वे Past Indefinite Tense के होते हैं।

उदाहरण:

 Common Adverbs (Past Indefinite में प्रयोग होने वाले)

 1. Adverbs of Time (कब – When?)

• yesterday (कल)

• the day before yesterday (परसों)

• last night (पिछली रात)

• last evening (पिछली शाम)

• last morning (पिछली सुबह)

• last week (पिछले हफ़्ते)

• last month (पिछले महीने)

• last year (पिछले साल)

• the other day (कुछ दिन पहले)

• once (एक बार)

• then (तब)

• at that time (उस समय)

• that day (उस दिन)

• formerly (पहले)

 2. Adverbs of Frequency (कितनी बार – How often?)

• often (अक्सर)

• sometimes (कभी-कभी)

• frequently (बार-बार)

• occasionally (कभी-कभी)

• seldom (कम ही)

• rarely (बहुत कम)

   (वह दो दिन पहले जयपुर गई।)

4. We enjoyed the party last night.
   (हमने पिछली रात पार्टी का आनंद लिया।)

5. He never told me the truth.
   (उसने मुझे कभी सच्चाई नहीं बताई।)

6. They often came here in childhood.
   (वे बचपन में अक्सर यहाँ आते थे।)

 Helping Verb (H.V.)

👉 Did (सभी subjects के साथ interrogative और negative वाक्यों में)
